The first in a series on Re-Attunement
In times of disruption, keep it simple.
Inhale. Close your eyes. Exhale.
Inhale, rest your hand on your heart. Exhale. Scan your body for contraction.
Ask yourself: In this moment, what can I do to expand?
Focus on the body. Unclench thighs, then jaw. Wiggle fingers and toes. Let facial muscles go slack. Lower shoulders. Take a deeper breath.
Inhale, exhale. I wonder . . . what I can do to expand?
Focus on your energy in your body. Imagine collecting that energy into ball of light in your heart. Inflate that ball gradually until it is a bubble that surrounds your entire body. Give it a color. Change if it if doesn’t feel right.
Inhale, exhale. I wonder . . . what can I do expand?
Focus on a thought, a word. Imagine a color and think of all the things you know that are that color. Consider an object, like dogs or flowers and think of the qualities of those you love. Consider love, and all the people that have and do love you, and the ways love is at work in your life.
Inhale, exhale. I wonder what my next thought will be.
